Washburn Neighborhood Association is fundraising to support new pedestrian-friendly lighting throughout the neighborhood. Lighting has already been installed on 6th and 7th Streets, with positive feedback coming from the pedestrians who regularly use the sidewalks in the neighborhood.

6th and Market Street Planters
Thanks to a partnership between the City of La Crosse and the Association, with input from VFW Post 1530 and the American Legion, a suggestion to beautify this space resulted in New Planters at the corner of 6th and Market. This area of the neighborhood is the site of a variety of new homes thanks to the city’s housing replacement program.
