New Little Free Pantry!

We are happy to announce the addition of a new Little Free Pantry in the Washburn Neighborhood!

Little Free Pantries apply the give and take concept of the Little Free Library to food and personal care items, to help combat food insecurity in the neighborhood.

Take what you need. Give what you can.

Thanks to our friends at Hamilton Helping Hands – Free Little Pantry for the inspiration and guidance. We’re excited to help those in need in the Washburn Neighborhood!

Upcoming Event: Learn and Grow Night at the YMCA Food Forest

Join the Washburn Neighborhood Association and the new Downtown Neighborhood Association for a family friendly night of volunteering, education, and fun at the Dahl YMCA Food Forest.

Activities include music, harvesting, and educational experiences.

Please dress in comfortable clothes.

Library Garden Beautified

Some of our Washburn Neighborhood Association members lent their green thumbs to planting the flower garden and containers around the La Crosse Public Library. The library also recently hung colorful new banners on the front of their building.

“Check out” the improvements the next time you grab the hottest bestseller for your summer reading!
